i have this old typewriter that used to belong to my step-grandfather. i must say it's one of my cooler possessions. why? there exists some kind of magic (for lack of a better word) about it. i can sit down at my laptop and stare idly at the blank screen. yet when i stand next to my typewriter words flow from my fingers onto the paper. maybe it's the years my step-grandfather spent writing his stories, or maybe it's just some old rustic charm-- whatever it is, the typewriter is where the writing is at.
