.:wahoo:.

o thank God this week is over (tomorrow is all parties)! precal test was horrible, yet history went surprisingly well. but as carolyn and i have pointed out, these really don't matter all that much in the long run....

the tests, the grades, the gpa, the SATs, all of it, serves one purpose--to get into the best school possible. yet in this morass of grades and rankings an element of the all so important education we are receiving is lost. the love of learning, of perplexity and confusion, of realisation and enlightenment, that love is lost in the folds of our current system. notice however that i do not say it is gone or obsolete, for such an assertion would not only condemn our schools, yet also overlook the admirable efforts teachers and students have taken to recover that love. this love, this intoxication with learning is obscured, like the faint white hue covered by the empowering red in pink.
